Projects and Tasks

A host of volunteer groups contribute to making ELAM function.

A/V Team

Besides its work with the weekly worship services, this team also provides audio and visual support for other events in the church. As well, the team books concerts at the church as fundraisers to pay for new equipment. 

Catering Team

The catering team provides catering services for events at the church that have been booked by outside organizations or by church members on a private basis. Call the church office at 519-451-7780 to be put in touch with team regarding services and rates. 

Craft Cupboard

A display case in the Gathering Space stocks crafts hand-made by ELAM members for ongoing sale.

Communications Committee

Providing communications support for ELAM groups and ministries, the committee produces a newsletter three times a year, provides advertising assistance for events (poster designs, bulletin inserts, sending out public service announcements, etc.) and looks after this website among other tasks.  Meetings are held on an "as needed" basis. 

Friday Morning Office Volunteers

Volunteers work in rotating teams of two members that provide support on Friday mornings when it would be otherwise closed.  Teams answer phones, fold and compile bulletins, and complete any other office duties as required. 

Meat Pie Makers

First Wednesday of every other month, chicken and beef pies are made.  Order forms are posted on the bulletin board in the Gathering Space in the weeks prior to baking day.  Proceeds are donated to the Church. 

Property Committee

Team members arrange for or maintain the building and property to keep it operating smoothly and safely.
